Triple Tagging: Toward Bridging Folksonomy and Semantic Web
نویسندگان
چکیده
Collaborative tagging is increasingly drawing attention as a promising source of taxonomic information; it is often referred to as folksonomy. A tag is information that is added to a resource (such as pictures, a web page, or blog entries); a tag can be represented as an RDF statement. However, no explicit study has been undertaken to bridge the gap between annotated tags and RDF statements. This paper proposes a model to represent tag information using RDF statements. Particularly, we give an incremental extension path from keyword tagging, which we call single-tagging, to relational tagging, which we call double-tagging, finally to subject-predicate-object tagging called triple-tagging, which (theoretically) corresponds to RDF statements. We build a new tagging system called LegoNote as the first triple-tagging system, and report some preliminary experiments. Our work will clarify the natural direction from the current tagging system and provide insights to realize a full Semantic Web vision.

Bridging Different Generation of Web via Exploiting Semantic Social Web Blog Portal
The goal of this research is to analyze one of the Web 2.0 platforms, e.g., weblog (or blog) and to justify whether it is possible to bridge Web 2.0 ↔ Web 3.0 (or the semantic web) via exploiting semantic social web blog portal. Compared with semantic annotation system using web mining techniques to extract keywords from the WWW, our semantic social web annotation system is based on ontologies ...
متن کاملBridging the Gap - Data Mining and Social Network Analysis for Integrating Semantic Web and Web 2.0
Highly popular user-centered applications such as Blogs, social tagging systems, and Wikis have come to be known as “Web 2.0” or the “Social Web”. A major reason for their immediate success is the high ease of use of new Web 2.0 services. These sites do not only provide data, but also generate an abundance of weakly structured metadata. A good example is tagging. Here, users add keywords from a...
متن کاملoutputs Bridging the gap between folksonomies and the semantic web : an experience report
While folksonomies allow tagging of similar resources with a variety of tags, their content retrieval mechanisms are severely hampered by being agnostic to the relations that exist between these tags. To overcome this limitation, several methods have been proposed to find groups of implicitly inter-related tags. We believe that content retrieval can be further improved by making the relations b...

متن کاملFolksonomies meet ontologies in ARSMETEO: from social descriptions of artifacts to emotional concepts
This work focusses on bridging between folksonomies, which provide social but mainly flat and unstructured metadata on web resources, and semantic web ontologies, which instead design structured, machine-processable knowledge spaces. The main purpose is to capture emerging semantics in social tagging systems and to overcome the gap between Semantic Web and Web 2.0, by preserving the complementa...
